LEADERSHIP AT OAK RIDGE

Part 8: Step 1 of 1: Read

Step 1: Read:

Oak Ridge is a congregationally-ruled, pastor-led church. The pastors and elected leaders, appointed by the covenant members of the Church, lead the church with regard to its doctrine and direction. The pastoral team sets the course for the direction of our church and makes sure that our church is holding fast to our Affirmation of Faith and that all the teaching in our church is aligned with our doctrinal commitments. The staff is accountable to the Church body. The covenant members carry out those ministries and together make important decisions for the church. Our covenant members vote on key issues that involve some financial decisions like the annual budget or major projects, and the appointment of trustees, deacons, and committee members. Covenant members play a vital role in the health and direction of our church.
