Membership at Oak Ridge Baptist Church
Members of the faith family at Oak Ridge Church partner together with the staff, leadership, and covenant other members to help families encounter Jesus and engage our community. Together we seek to fulfill the mission of Jesus through active participation, prayer, and stewardship.
How do I become a
member of Oak Ridge?
Oak Ridge Baptist Church is a community of individuals who have professed Jesus as Savior and endeavor to live our lives under the lordship of Jesus. This is where membership at Oak Ridge begins!
In order to become a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church one must confess faith in Christ and His saving work on the cross and His resurrection, submitting to the lordship of Christ and endeavoring to faithfully follow the teachings of the Bible in all areas of life.
If you have taken this step and are interested in joining our faith family and becoming a covenant member at Oak Ridge, we invite you to begin the process of church membership.

This confession of faith in Christ is publicly shared through participation in the ordinance of baptism which is the immersion of the Believer in water. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality in which God has imparted His grace upon the Believer bringing reconciliation to the Father.
If you haven’t already been baptized, then the Pastor can schedule a time where you can be baptized at a worship service.
Membership at ORBC goes beyond attending church and passive engagement. Members covenant with each other, the church leadership, and staff to actively engage in worship, service, and stewardship.
The membership process includes a ten-part online Membership Course, a two-hour Membership Class, and an informal interview with a member of our elder team, scheduled at a later date. This process ensures alignment in our beliefs about the gospel and clarity regarding the mission of the Church. Completion of the course does not obligate you to become a Covenant Member, but it’s a great way to learn more about our church and mission.
